Nice series, only.... i'm from europe, so the whole grading doesn't sound familiar with me. Actually in europe we don't use grading services, we have sertain rules by giving a coin a sertain grade. Proof is the highest grading and good- is the lowest grading. Btw, isn't there a chance that the grading company replaces your coin with a fake one if you send them for example a rare coin (with for example a value of 5000 $). I wouldn't trust any third party company's x].

five dollar coins that were made circulation were the liberty head and Indian head types. They are not that large, so the ones you saw might be from another country.

I have a friend who has 2 five dollar coins, but I don't remember what they look like. All I remember is they were huge. He wasn't very carefull with them so they're not in the best condition. how much do you think that's worth?

During the depression in the late 1920's the government actually went into people's safe deposit boxes and took their gold coins and other valuables. I'm not sure if the government ever paid for them in the long run but I'm pretty sure the people never got the gold coins back.

Thanks glad you liked the video. ANAC is a good one that I forgot to mention. I have to really disagree with you on SGS being a legit grading service. They are as bad as WCG (world coin grading), GEC, NAC, SNGA, or the many more I cant remember right off the top of my head. PCI was "ok" in the beginning but before they went under they overgraded pretty bad. DGS bought them and are grading coins under the name DGS (Dominion Grading Service). I do not know much about DGS so far, wait and see :)

Yo Mark! Jacques here from South Africa. Great informative video. Other companies that i dont have problems with is NGC, ANA, PCGS, PCI, SGS. Well the video is REALLY good but i will have to disagree with you on the matter of buying on ebay. You cant stereotype a bunch of people based on one bad experience. I am an experienced Coin Dealer in South Africa and i deal on ebay too. I currently listed 20 graded coins and 2 proof-sets if someone would be interested. Anyway Mark...thanks buddy.
