Above all, gold is gold, silver is silver, platinum is platinum, and so on...and each metal has instrinsic value and industrial usage. There are so many factors to consider, and these factors change over time...change among different societies...change among individual people. The base value is constant; the added value is situational and conditional. At the end of the day, it's how much YOU, the seller, want to let it go for...which is related to what YOU think it's worth.

Numismatic value has to do with year of mintage and grade. Buyer's added worth is very individual...where one buyer may think it's worth an extra million, another buyer may only think it's worth an extra thousand (for example!). Some people put more weight on NGC-graded/slabbed coins, other people put more weight on PCGS-graded/slabbed coins, etc. A buyer may not like a perceived scratch on the surface of the coin and mark off some value; another buyer may not give a crap about that.

Other factors come in after that...but nothing changes that it is always AT LEAST worth one-tenth the spot price of that metal on any given day. There's the premium added on top of it, the numismatic value on top of it, plus any buyer's conceived or perceived extra worth of the coin in question on top of it. Premium is usually determined by demand; the higher the demand, the higher the premium.

First of all, you don't really need any "help" from anybody to determine the value of a gold coin. Now, take the spot price of gold on any given day (spot is price in currency, any currency, for one ounce of a metal, any metal). Since you have here a one-tenth ounce gold coin, it's automatic value is one-tenth the spot price of that metal.
