The only problem I can see with that is if the guy is trigger happy and pulls the trigger after the redirection, the gun's gonna go off pinching the skin on this hand and burning it at the same time causing a remarkably large amount of pain to the person grabbing the gun while will (with most people even with adrenaline) slow you down a little due to the shock and pain. The idea seems pretty cool though, but is there a better way of redirecting the gun?

the gas wont give you third degree burns its not in contact long enough. and the casing will not cause third degree burns second maybe but i dont think you know how serious third degree is. but ive had caseings land on my neck between my collar, shit sucks but if your adrenaline was pumping you wouldnt even know. your going to call bullshit but ive put lighter fluid on my hand and lit it then let it burn out about 7 seconds later, still just second degree.

OK, I teach Krav Maga to a small class in Nashville TN, the glasses takedown is just stupid, your blinding yourself and the takedown dosen't ensure the attacker won't get back up! so now your blind and your attacker is even more pissed off! Also the trachea choke MUST be preformed with at least two fingers to ensure you don't break any during the struggle. also that counter isn't effective if your attacker is tipping his head down and has a bad turkey neck, you'll black before you find his neck!

Yea, lol. I don't waste my time with those guys. The hammer fist is great when you take side position on a guy on the ground. You see it in MMA ALL the time. It's especially lethal if you cross arm the guy's face, completely exposing his jaw and temple. See, "the other side of the guy's head is against the ground now." Great reel. It's good to see some reed highlights surface, you don't see too many from his U days, with the exception of the BC clips. Early in the vid, the numbers are blurred but you know off the bat it's him just by the technique in which he jumps the route, and is off 100mph upfield before the offense knew what hit them. These were great teams, with unbelievable talents, I loved these days, watching these guys, vilma, taylor, sikes .. all of them. great vid.

I'm not saying it can't be lethal, but I will say it might not be reliable in a defensive encounter. #1 or Single 0 is generally thought to be the way to go. @joshua10002008 either way i believe a shotgun is the way to go for home defense but 00buck is not. 00 buck will penetrate a human no problem then its course will also make it through solid wooden doors and walls . #9 birdshot is what i advocate. #9 will hit an intruder soo hard it will lay him out flat even through drywall. but not have enough energy to make it through other walls and doors to impact your loved ones or exit the walls of your residence

@joshua10002008 believe it or not the great thing about any pump shotgun is that ITS A PUMP shotgun manually operated is the way to go in home defense and choice of brand comes down to personal preference some people like the mossberg because its light because it is made from an aluminum reciever. but it also doesnt have the weight to mitigate recoil for a fster follow up shot . some like the 870 because it is made of a steel reciever making it heavier but you can make a quicker follow shot

While I agree with your position that it doesn't matter whether a shotgun is "tactical" or not, the idea of putting a "bad guy" on the run with nothing more than cycling the action is wishful thinking at best. If you expect it to work, by all means, keep yours unloaded and pump away. As for the best weapon for home defense, that's simple. The best home defense weapon is the weapon you have when you need it. Any gun will do if you will do.

for those of you that believe either a tactical shot gun or no shotgun let me tell you something, that model 870 is one of the best goddamn weapons for home defense there is today, it doesn't matter if its tactical or not cause if there is someone in your house and its pitch black and you hear the action of a 12 ga. you WILL go the other way.
